			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Through a massive TV campaign starting tonight and hosting his leader testimonial, the Moto GP rider <strong>Valentino Rossi</strong>, <a href="http://www.fastweb.it">Fastweb</a> will finally launch its <strong>mobile</strong> offering to become a full <strong>quadruple play</strong> operator.</p>
<p><span id="more-669"></span><br />
This is the result a former <strong>MVNO</strong> agreement with UMTS-only operator <a href="http://www.tre.it">Tre</a>.<br />
Fastweb&#8217;s consumer offering is also unique in Italy because it will be sold <strong>only in post-paid mode</strong>, in a country where roughly 90% of mobile users are on pre-paid contracts.</p>

Fastweb&#8217;s entry into the Mobile Virtual Network Operator space is based on the recent agreement signed with <a href="http://www.tre.it">3Italia</a>, Hutchinson Whampoa Group, which will allow the company to offer mobile services (voice, data, video) complementing its &#8220;all-IP&#8221; fixed broadband network.<br />
Nokia Siemens Networks will deliver the network control solution, featuring its Intelligent <strong>Service Node </strong>(Flexi ISN), during the first quarter of 2008, ensuring that the whole system be in place for the <strong>MVNO service launch</strong>, scheduled for the <strong>second half </strong>of the year.<br />
The contract also includes a service package for <strong>commissioning, installation and launch support</strong> to prepare Fastweb for the MVNO operation</p>

<a href="http://www.telecomitalia.it">Telecom Italia</a> is providing COOP with nationwide mobile network technology infrastructure, plus the company’s expertise in running complex IT systems and developing innovative services.<br />
COOP will be setting its own pricing and rolling out a range of sales offerings. The company is directly responsible for customer acquisition and customer relations during the sales and after-sales phase through a dedicated number.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Italian Post Office (<a href="http://www.poste.it">Poste Italiane</a>) announced today its plan to become a <strong>mobile virtual network operator</strong>.</p>
<p><span id="more-601"></span><br />
Thanks to its network of more than <strong>14.000 shops</strong>, the post office can easily reach every Italian citizen at ‘walking distance’ to sell its services. Being the market leader in payment service, it also plans to offer a whole range of <strong>mobile-based payment services</strong>.<br />
Poste Italiane’s managing director Massimo Sarmi said negotiations with MNOs are still going on and he gave no precise timeframe about the initial availability of the service.<br />
Sarmi also said the company hopes to reach <strong>2 m mobile customers by 2011</strong>.</p>
