Joy is a fully integrated solution that includes a 20/1 Mbps ADSL line (or 10/10 Mpbs for the few lucky ones with a FTTH connection) at home and a free USB modem with 10 hours/month of UMTS mobile traffic included at €30 per month.

With this service Fastweb targets young people and those who do not need a traditional PSTN fixed voice line.

As such, Vodafone recently launched the equivalent business version of this triple-play offer targeted to the SOHO market. Available in two flavors, it bundles Adsl access, unlimited free fixed calls and free mobile calls to company’s mobiles for a 39€ per month flat fee.
The hardware side of the offer is the same as the consumer offers: Vodafone Station (Asdl+2/Wifi/UMTS modem router + removable Usb UMTS Internet Key), so that the service can be activated instantly while waiting for the ADSL line.

Vodafone developed and is launching a solution combining voice with fixed and mobile broadband services in a single device, conceived and developed in Italy in co-operation with Huawei: the new “Vodafone Station“.

Thanks to the Vodafone Station, it is now possible to make voice calls and access the internet via ADSL from home without having to pay Telecom Italia’s line rental, whilst the integrated Vodafone Internet Key means that customers can have mobile broadband internet access even when away from home.

The Vodafone Station makes it possible to connect home phones and PCs via cable or Wi-Fi.

The Vodafone Stations itself is an integrated switch/router with ADSL2+, Wi-Fi and UMTS/HSPA (through a removable USB key) links and four local Ethernet ports.

The Vodafone Station offers voice calls and internet access using the best available technology, based on cable ADSL as well as mobile broadband, thanks to the integrated Vodafone Internet Key.

One of key features of the new service is that is works out-of-the-box for end users. As soon as the Vodaone Station is powered on, end users are instantly connected through the HSPA mobile connection.
Afterwards, when the ADSL commisioning process is complete, the remotely managed Vodafone Station switches the broadband connection to the fixed network through ADSL2+.

Vodafone’s offerings is available with two different profiles.

Flat offer:

• € 29 per month (line rental included)
• voice calls to fixed line at € 0.16 each (up to 3k minutes per month)
• unlimited internet access from home included
• mobile internet access at € 5 per day or € 20 per month for 100 hours on weekdays and unlimited access on weekends

Free offer:

• € 9 per month (line rental included)
• voice calls to fixed line at € 0.16 each (up to 3k minutes per month)
• internet access from home at € 3 per day
• mobile internet access at € 5 per day or € 20 per month for 100 hours on weekdays and unlimited access on weekends

Both Telecom Italia and the National Regulatory Authority, that previously authorized the incumbent to sell such a service, can (and probably will) appeal to an higher Court (Consiglio di Stato).
