Vodafone buys Tele2 Italy

In a deal valued € 775m, Vodafone bought the Italian and Spanish arm of Tele2.

This raises the bar of Vodafone's ambition to become a full-fledged fixed operator in Italy.

Vodafone will gain access to Tele2's estimated 2.6 m customers, including 0.4 m broadband customer.

Tele2's customer in Italy are generally low ARPU ones attracted by low tariffs.
Just a few days ago Vodafone terminated its previous commercial agreement with fixed operator Fastweb.
