Yell Group cannot sell its Italian subsidiary to Seat

Italian antitrust banned Yell Group from selling its Italian subsdidiary 1288 SCT (inherithed from the former acquisition of Telefonica Publicidad e Informacion) to Seat Pagine Gialle.

Seat is the market leader in directory service assistance with a an estimated market share of about 50%. 1288 SCT was the third biggest player in the Italian directory service market. The Antitrust authority did not approve the deal because it would create a much too powerful player.
