Italian WiMAX auction German style

The Italian NRA (AGCOM) is expected to clarify soon the auction rules for WiMAX licenses to be awarded within a couple of months.

Apparently, auction rules will be similar to the ones adopted in Germany.

Applicants will be allowed to bid also for regional, multi-region and nationwide licenses. Winners will have to reach minimum coverage targets within 24 months and 60 months.

Asymmetrical rules to favour new entrants are not envisioned.
