Nokia to supply Wind new WCDMA infrastructure and services

Nokia and Wind have signed a three-year frame agreement for the turnkey supply of Nokia’s WCDMA 3G radio network solution in 9 out of the 20 regions in Italy, including Nokia Flexi WCDMA Base Station, Nokia NetAct and a range of managed services.


The other Wind’ UMTS major supplier is Ericsson.
Under the term of the agreement, Nokia will provide Wind maintenance services and project management, along with site acquisition, site construction, network planning, implementation, commissioning, and network optimization services.
