The Milan Internet eXchange (MIX), the primary Internet exchange point in Italy, has opened a new VoIP service to facilitate inter-carrier VoIP peering and interconnection.
After a six-month trial period, MIX chose a session border control (SBC) product supplied by NexTone to gain visibility and intelligence to exchange, optimize, secure, and bill for voice sessions (or calls) flowing through its interconnections.
