According to the latest figure released by GFK, mobile handset sales in Italy are still dominated by mobile network operators, that from July 2005 to June 2006 delivered 58% of the handsets sold in Italy together with some of their specific tariff options or offers. One year earlier the figure was 56%.
Market leader is TIM with a market share of 24.1 %, followed by Vodafone at 15.3 %
