Telit to open a new R&D center for M2M mobile comms

M2M specialist Telit Communications, headquartered in Trieste, is to open a new research center in Sardinia. The new site is co-financed by the Italian State that granted the company €11.4 million and a €14.1 million loan facility.

The new R&D center is located in Cagliari and is expected to hire about 100 engineers in the next couple of years. It will focus on developing advanced wireless M2M and multimedia applications.
