Elitel Telecom today announced that it has acquired a controlling share of Alpikom, regional telecom operator based in North Eastern Italy.

Under the terms of the agreement, Elitel has acquired its 54.8% interest for a total cash consideration of € 2.9 million.
Alpikom, which generated revenues of around € 7 million in 2005 with an operating profit of almost € 1 million, offers voice and data services both to residential and business clients in the Trentino Alto Adige region.
