Parla.it decided to abandon the H.323 protocol favouring SIP for its VoIP services.
Parla.it, originally a France Telecom’s subsidiary, was one of the early players selling VoIP to the mass market. Last March France Telecom sold Parla.it to the Italian start-up Digital Television, a regional provider of IPTV services, that is now rethinking the Parla.it strategy.
